Wool crepe is a warm, durable fabric which is much more stretchy than boiled wool, and a little finer.
All certified organic wool comes from sheep which have been farmed organically and with high animal welfare standards. The organic status refers to all stages of the manufaturing process from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.
Wool (and thus Merino wool) has many benefits including being anti-bacterial and allowing the body to regulate its own temperature. See the blog for more details.
Reiff recommends hand washing in cold water that is less than 10oc.
Use a detergent designed for wool which protects and repenishes wool's natural oils as sold in our fabric care category here.
To hand-wash your organic Merino wool, dilute your wool detergent in a bowl of cold water.
Add your woollens to the bowl, gently stirring and squeezing the detergent through. Rinse using cold water
To dry, gently squeeze water out and wrap your wool clothes in a towel to remove the excess water. Air-dry naturally avoiding direct heat. So, hanging on a drying rack over the bath is good, or on a clothes horse.
"What an amazing, trendy and practical skirt ! I have just received the red one and was so thrilled with it I have ordered the same in grey. The length for me at 5ft 4ins is just about covering my knees which I love as I have a skinny body but chubby knees. It is quite thick but stretchy and so comfy and very smart. Am sure I will wear them to death. Relax clothing brand are up there with the best and I wish Cambridge Baby would stock more - maybe. "I've had one of these skirts for two years and it keeps its looks - I don't think I've had to wash it, and I've worn it regularly for work as well as round the house (it's very easy to wear).
