Wool is naturally anti-bacterial and is brilliant at keeping the body comfortable at a wide range of temperatures.
The organic cotton is 100% GOTS certified by IMO.
Organic cotton is grown without the use of chemical fertilisers and is healthier for the environment. The reduced processing of the cotton also results in a longer-staple, higher quality cotton that is softer on your skin.
Included in the organic certification are standards that ensure the welfare of those involved in the farming and production of the clothing, so that you can be assured that nobody has been exploited along the way.
You will feel the difference in quality when you touch organic cotton - it's something that gives us pleasure to handle here at Cambridge Baby, and you know that it's safe for your baby and gentle and nurturing for your family.
Hirsch Natur is a family business which was established in 1928 by Franz Kloppenborg, a restaurant owner who diversified into making work socks. The first machine were set up in the restaurant’s ballroom! The company is currently run by his great-grandson Matthias. While they made sturdy working socks at first, Hirsch Natur were pioneers of organic textiles. Their factory is certified to Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) and has received the “IVN-Best” certification. They produce 50% of their own energy sustainably through solar panels too. Enjoy the great design, natural fabrics and comfortable, healthy feel of socks and tights developed with care and expertise over generations.
"I love the quality and comfort of everything I have bought from Cambridge Baby. I buy for my 4 year old grandson from here because I prefer natural fabrics that are soft and breathable against the skin. I have also found that they are very well priced in their category of natural wool fabrics. Plus the sales team are very pleasant and helpful if you ever have need to call them, which is also a plus point in these days of buying online. So thank you Cambridge Baby!"

"These socks are like the ones I used to buy for my children which are so difficult to find as any good quality proper wool are. I now buy them for my grandchildren, specially the ones who live in Spain and find Scotland rather chilly! As always your product is excellent"

"My daughter is picky, but she was happy wearing these to school pretty much every day. She's not a fan of tights, so has been wearing shorts/long socks with her school dresses and skirts for most of the autumn. I've given up arguing and bought woolly socks. It worked till last week of November. Creamy colour(wish there were white or grey) hadn't put her off. I have to wash them every day as they get really dirty at school. Think cotton makes them a bit softer than just wool. Also, don't slide down as quickly as I thought they might."
This was washed... had to be careful
This was worn by... 5 year old school girl

"These socks are good because they're not too thick but are warm. Can be worn on own (tho my daughter complained that they're a little 'scratchy'' but not been washed yet) or over other sicks/ tights. They make a great welly sock. Second year in a row bought these."
This was washed... Not washed yet.
